About Our 2015 Forum

Our 14th Annual Forum, set for June 10th-14th, continues to expand "thinking about thinking," raising the consciousness of better thinking in individuals and organizations. Link here to learn about our previous Forums, as well as our Forum history.

Our 2015 Forum will be co-sponsored by Aerojet Rocketdyne and hosted by the School of Business and the College of Transdisciplinarity at Woodbury University in nearby Burbank.

As for our 2015 Forum title, Dr. Deming reminded each of us that we have three sources of power:

1) Formal [where we fall in an organization’s hierarchy]
2) Knowledge
3) Personality

Deming added that “A successful leader develops 2 and 3: does not rely on no. 1. He has nevertheless obligation to use no.1, as this source of power enables him to change the system – equipment, methods, materials – to bring improvement….”

As designed, our 2015 Forum ("Break the Mold: Aspire, Inspire, Achieve") will address the third form of power, personality. The second form, knowledge (from inquiry) was the focus for our 2014 Forum, titled "Succeed With Inquiry: Insights, Knowledge, Action."

Our 5-day Forum begins with 3 days of Pre-Conference sessions on
                          June 10th, from 7:00am - 7:15pm,
                          June 11th, from 7:00am - 4:15pm,
                          June 12th, from 7:00am - 4:15pm

with 17 sessions to choose from, with a daily attendance fee of $10 and no parking fees at Woodbury University. Aside from our first-ever attendance fee, all Pre-Conference sessions are free to attend, with the except of one session, What We're Learning About the Brain. Add to this schedule our Weekend Conference (on June 12th (5:00pm) - June 14th (12:00pm), for a registration fee ($350 before April 29th) and the result is our 5-day Forum.

As designed, our 2015 Forum aims to promote an environment where compelling ideas and insights will evolve from an exposure to new thoughts and open minds. (And these ideas and insights may lead you in untold exciting directions in your work and life after the Forum.)
