Description: Building on the thought-provoking and inspiring keynote address they presented at our 2009 Forum, Joel & Michelle Levey return for the third time to offer a full-day in-depth pre-conference workshop of advanced training in Mindful Leadership. Attendees of previous full-day sessions can expect new ideas and practices to be woven in what has been presented before. The Leveys’ pioneering work has enlightened thousands of leaders in hundreds of organizations around the globe. Joel & Michelle invite us to pause and reflect more deeply on our learning journey as leaders, and to explore new frontiers of learning and personal development necessary to add new dimensions to our personal and organizational capacity in these times of radical change. This session will blend insights, principles, practices, case studies, data, and potent examples of extra-ordinary success that invite us all to consider new frontiers of possibilities in our own lives, work, and relationships. The Leveys will offer an experiential grounding in the core disciplines of mindfulness and mastery of attention that each of us can rely upon to realize our potentials for juggling the many dimensions of our lives with greater harmony and balance – even in the midst of these extremely complex and rapidly changing times.

Biographies: Joel & Michelle are founders of the International Center for Corporate Culture and Organizational Health at InnerWork Technologies, Inc. (WisdomAtWork.com), clinical faculty at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Mahidol University (Thailand), Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), core faculty for the Center for Spirituality, Science, & Medicine at Bastyr University where they teach a special program for physicians and health care providers in Meditation & Medicine. They served as co-chairs for the Center for Corporate Culture and Organizational Health at the Institute for Health and Productivity Management, clinical directors at Group Health and Children’s Medical Centers. The enduring benefits of their pioneering work have inspired leaders in hundreds of organizations around the globe, including: NASA, World Bank, Intel, Shell, MIT, Boeing, HP, Values and Lifestyles Program at Stanford, and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center. Most recently, Michelle and Joel have been offering programs within Honeywell and Google. Earlier, they designed and directed advanced biocybernautic training for the U.S. Army Green Berets' acclaimed "Ultimate Warrior Training Program. This six-month full-time training program was described by West Point leaders as, "The most exquisite orchestration of human technology that we have ever seen." Michael Murphy & George Leonard, founders of the Esalen Institute, praised this work, saying that this program was, “the most extensive and advanced leadership development program to be offered in modern times." At the end of this program one of their teams was selected as the most outstanding team in the NATO games. Nobel Laureate the Dalai Lama, an advisor and supporter on a number of the Leveys' projects, encouraged them in their work saying in a letter to them: "You are presently engaged in work that has great prospects for bringing the inner sciences and technologies of human development and transformation to a very wide section of people who may not under ordinary circumstances come into contact with these teachings."
