GENERAL INFORMATON - DRESS CODE, WEATHER, AND FITNESS

The dress code for all Forum events is “business-casual.” 

Weather in the area currently has highs in the 80’s and nighttime lows in the 50’s (20Celsius/10Celsius) and is forecast to be sunny to party cloudy this weekend.  Please plan accordingly.   Here’s a link to our forecast….www.weather.com

Guests staying at the Hilton Woodland Hills have complementary access to the LA Fitness health club, adjacent to the hotel.  Please check with the hotel front desk for access.  Contact the Hilton at Hilton.com. Or, by phone at 818-595-1000 for details.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
All pre-conference seminars and workshops will be held at Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne (PWR), which is located at 6633 Canoga Avenue in Canoga Park.  Driving directions can be found on-line here. A map of the Canoga Park campus for PWR is also available on-line. Once you enter the parking lot, look for signs to the Leadership & Learning Center (LLC), which is located on the north side of the block-long campus. Park in any unmarked parking place, including the Visitor Parking Lot.

IDENTIFICATION
If you are attending any of these seminars and workshops and are not a PWR employee, please bring a government-issued photo ID (e.g. US driver’s license, green card). If you are not a US citizen or permanent resident, please bring your passport as identification. You will need to present this identification to the PWR security guard. For those arriving before 9:00am on either day, please go directly toward PWR's Leadership & Learning Center to enter the facility. For those arriving after 9:00am, please proceed to the main lobby behind the F-1 rocket engine, which is not to be missed, to gain access to the facility.

ACTIVITIES
Our pre-conference seminars and workshops on Thursday and Friday start with a Continental Breakfast in the Leadership & Learning Center (LLC), from 7:00am-8:00am, followed immedialtely by a one-hour “Beginning Together” session in PWR’s LLC. Forum planning team members will ready to escort you to the LLC as soon as the gates near the LLC open at 7:00am. Please plan to arrive by 7:30am on both days.

Lunch will be provided on both days for seminar and workshop attendees. A selection of sandwiches and Indian cuisine will be served.

PARKING
To avoid parking fees, we suggest that before you exercise your brain, you exercise your legs and park “free” at the nearby PWR facility while attending the conference activities at the Hilton.  The Hilton is 2 blocks away from the PWR facility.  Should you park at the Hilton and not stay there as a guest, you will be charged a visitor valet fee of $12 per day.

PRESENTATIONS

The presentations and papers prepared by our presenters will not be distributed at the conference.  Instead, shortly after the Forum, we will make these supplemental materials available on our website.  A post-Forum notice will be sent to all attendees to announce the posting of the files.

PURCHASE ITEMS
Several items to further our transformations will be available, with the added bonus of profits going back into the network.   Selected book titles including those written by speakers appearing at the conference. Additional In2:InThinking Network merchandise (Forum DVD sets, planners, shirts, mugs, and more!!!) will also be sold.

Payment Note: We can only accept cash or domestic personal checks.  Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to accept credit/debit card payments at the conference.    A nearby ATM is available for cash withdrawal.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
Our post-conference seminars (Enterprise Thinking and InThinking With Purposeful Tools and Techniques) start at 12:30pm and end at 5:00pm on April 21st and continue on April 22nd at 8:00am through 12:30pm. Both will be held in Jacaranda Hall on the campus of California State University - Northridge. Attendees should arrive 30 minutes early to take advantage of the earlier meals.

Use parking lot E6 on Halsted Street (link).  A parking officer will be on duty to sell parking passes on the afternoon of April 21 and the morning of April 22.  Parking permits are $5/day.

ACTIVITIES
The Enterprise Thinking seminar will be held in room JD 2215 on April 21st and in room JD2204 on the 22nd. The InThinking With Purposeful Tools and Techniques seminar will be hld in room JD 1102 on the 21st and in room JD 1552 on the 22nd

A selection of sandwiches will be served on April 21st and 22nd for the post-conference sessions, plus a continental breakfast on April 22nd.
